Privacy

In short: nothing that identifies you is kept while you read the forum; if you open an account, only what the account needs to work is stored.

While reading

The forum's pages are saved on the server as plain HTML. Reading sets no cookie; there are no advertising or tracking scripts, and no request is made to a third-party service.

Visits are counted on this server, without cookies, as daily totals. Your IP address and browser details are not stored; if your browser says "do not track", you are not counted at all.

Your account

When you open an account we keep:

• your email address: to confirm the account, send password reset links and (if you want them) reply notices; it is never shown in the forum
• your display name: shown next to your posts
• a digest of your password: the password itself is not stored, only a one-way digest (argon2id)

To limit abuse, only a digest of your IP address salted with a secret key is recorded, never the address itself. Accounts that are never confirmed are removed on their own within 7 days.

Cookies

Cookies are used only when you sign in: one that carries your session (HttpOnly, Secure), and a second that carries nothing but your display name so a page can say "signed in as …". Both go when you sign out.

Forum posts

The topics and replies you write are published publicly once approved. An email address given with a post is seen only by the team and never published.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself from your account page. Your email address, sessions and the messages sent to you are deleted; the posts you wrote stay in the forum under the name they were written with. To have a post taken down, write to info@kodhisar.com.

Server logs

Like any web server, ours keeps an access log (IP address, requested page, browser). These logs are used only for security and debugging.
